Goats going to the buck test

Posted on May 30, 2013 at 7:03 AM Comments comments ()
We are taking 5 bucklings to Maryland for the buck test.  We are sending some that we think should do well.  Follow our post or the thread for the buck test and see how we do this year.  We are sending Big Red, Brutus, Dunnit, Makers Mark, and Live Wire.

Big Red is out of Bocephus and JFV 8-53 who we call momma.  He was born a triplet, almost last out of the bucks and has out gained all but the first born.

Brutus and Dunnit are out of Apollo and BWP 105 who we call snowball.

Makers Mark is out of Thor and GHK Z19 who we call Frankie.

Live Wire is out of Thor and ZBF Black Diamond.

Thor was in the Oklahoma buck test and had an average FEC of 250.

Momma is the dam of Zorro and Thor who have always had great parasite resistance.

Apollo has always shown great resistance and great ADG.

Snowball has always shown good resistance and her kids have also.
